Parents and guardians play a key role in supporting young people to manage the strong emotions we expect from adolescence. However, young people attending our service are often facing extraordinary challenges. These can lead to extraordinary difficulties with emotional regulation.
We offer a parenting workshop based on the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) program from Cornell University. TCI is based on years of research, and stresses crisis prevention and de-escalation in ways that help young people learn to avoid losing control.
