Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Note: For the time being, stimulants can only be commenced by Dr Ferguson for young people aged 18 years and under. Ongoing prescription can then occur until their 25th birthday.

Eating Disorders

 

Service requested

  • Eating Disorder Treatment Plan (EDP)
  • MBS Review of Eating Disorder Plan (EDR)
  • Comprehensive assessment
  • Shared care

History

  • Medical history
  • Onset of menarche and recent menstrual history
  • HOPC and current diagnosis

Examination

  • Postural heart rate and blood pressure
  • Temperature

Weight & height measures

  • Current & pre-morbid measures
  • Highest & lowest weights (with heights if available)
  • Timing of weight loss

Investigations

  • All patients: FBE, UEC, CMP, LFT, Oestradiol (if female sex), 12-lead ECG
  • New diagnosis: ESR, TFT, Coeliac Screen
  • Nutritional testing (if not done in the last 6 months): Iron Studies, B12, Folate, Zinc and vitamins A, C & D
  • Bone mineral density scan (if not done in the last 12 months)
